Porridge with dried fruits and nuts

Preparation

Ingredients

  • 100 g oats
  • 300 ml water
  • 4 tablespoons freeze-dried donkey milk
  • 50 g walnuts
  • 50 g almonds
  • 50 g raisins
  • 50 g dried cranberries
  • Honey or sugar to taste
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

Prepare donkey's milk:
  1. Pour 300 ml of warm drinking water into a saucepan. To quickly reach the desired temperature, mix boiling water with room temperature water.
  2. Add 4 tablespoons of freeze-dried donkey milk to a glass and stir until completely dissolved.
  3. You can put a little more powdered milk and then the taste will be more intense.

Making the Porridge:
  1. Bring the milk in a saucepan to a boil.
  2. Add the oats and a pinch of salt. Reduce the heat and cook, stirring, for about 5−7 minutes until the porridge thickens.
  3. While the porridge is cooking, chop the walnuts and almonds into large pieces.
  4. Add the nuts and dried fruits to the porridge one minute before the end of cooking. Stir well.
  5. If desired, add a tablespoon of honey for extra sweetness.
  6. Remove the porridge from the heat and let it sit covered for a couple of minutes.

Serving

Serve the porridge hot, garnished with additional nuts and dried fruits if desired. This porridge is perfect for breakfast and will energize you for the whole day!

Notes

The recipe offers almonds, walnuts, raisins and dried cranberries, but you can use any nuts and dried fruits according to your taste preferences.
